Make a Difference

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
                                ~Winston Churchill

The indications of people in need of help are in all of our communities.   Adolescents are dealing with depression, anger and pressure to do things that put their health and safety at risk.  Young children are growing up in homes where their struggling parents don’t have extended family, friends or neighbors to turn to before problems involving neglect or abuse arises.  The elderly can live in loneliness and isolation alone or in a nursing home.  Mental health needs in our communities are on the rise, but programs work and do improve lives in a lasting way.

Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center has existed since 1965 to provide support, skills training, counseling and intervention to its clients regardless of their financial means.  Join us in a giving partnership to help more of our neighbors in times of crisis and need.  Please consider a charitable contribution that will directly benefit your community and strengthen the services we offer to our children and families.
