PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

We are currently seeking a certified/licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse or Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join the psychiatry team fulltime (80% to full-time) as a prescriber for a clientele of children, adolescents and/or adults. The psychiatry staff of Hiawatha Valley is a dedicated, flexible and highly skilled team of one fulltime child and adult certified psychiatrist, one part-time child psychiatrist, one fulltime RN and supporting staff. This position will be based in Winona with periodic scheduling in agency office settings in the communities of Wabasha and Caledonia, MN. Of the many benefits offered to new certified nursing graduates will be optimal quality career training, supervision, consultation and support by and with our lead psychiatrist/medical director. Other invaluable career experiences will include multi-disciplinary teamwork with outpatient mental health and substance abuse therapy staff, mental health case managers, residential treatment counselors and other members of the agency’s 85+ staff.

Full time (36-40 hours per week) Mental Health Therapist needed to do individual and group therapy with adolescents and children in school settings and support families. Schools located in Winona and surrounding communities. Responsibilities will also include consultation with school counselors, teachers and administration. OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH/SUBSTANCE ABUSE TX COUNSELOR

(40 hr/wk) Therapist position to provide Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment in La Crosse-Based Clinic setting. Available immediately. Individual and group therapy with children, adults, families. Best candidate would have dual WI licensure in mental health and AODA. Single licensure in either field would be considered as well. CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH SKILLS WORKER/SCY ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

We are seeking a FT (35-40 hrs/wk) Mental Health Practitioner to do a combination of CTSS Skills and administrative coordination for our SCY Pathways Program. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology. The best candidate will have combined experience with both office/administrative and program or service oriented work. This candidate will also have excellent organizational, computer and communication skills, a compassion for the mentally ill population, the ability to work independently, and knowledge of healthcare insurance processes. Specific responsibilities will include: Providing CTSS Skills Training within the schools and reception duties at Central Elementary School, Winona, MN.

Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center offers a variety of intern and volunteer opportunities. If you are an undergraduate looking for social work or nursing field placement, we offer positions at our Peer Support Network (PSN), Residential, and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) programming. Our Graduate Training Program offers both master and doctorate level positions in our Outpatient services department. The program offers either practicum or intern placements usually beginning in September and finishing in May. If you are interested in volunteering your time to our agency, we would be happy to hear about your talents to best fit our needs.
