November Legislative Session at HVMHC!!

On Wednesday, November 30, 2011, constituents with interests and needs related to mental illness and mental health services will have a chance to visit with legislators about the upcoming legislative session and how we, as consumers and advocates, can work together  in supporting and promoting recovery from mental illness. 

This important event is being scheduled at Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center’s main office at 166 Main Street in downtown Winona between 3^rd and 4^th Streets across from the Government Center.  Legislators from Winona, Wabasha and Houston Counties will be in attendance for an informal and informative discussion about how stakeholders committed to good mental health can support and work together.  Staff from NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness of Minnesota) www.namihelps.org and the Mental Health of Minnesota www.mentalhealthmn.org will also participate to make the best use of your valuable time with important consumers and constituents.
