SCY Center

(Supporting Community Youth)

SCY Center was opened to better serve our youth in a treatment setting that is welcoming and comfortable for teens, their parents, siblings, and other supportive people in their lives.  SCY Center is conveniently located in downtown Winona, serving clients from Winona, Wabasha, Houston and La Crosse and surrounding counties and their communities.


    Some of the services at SCY Center are:

  • Adolescent substance abuse and mental health assessments
  • Adolescent substance abuse treatment and therapy;  individual and group
  • Adolescent substance abuse/mental health integrated treatment and therapy to treat co-occurring needs and illnesses; individual and group
  • Adolescent and Family Groups will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 PM
  • Family assessments designed to support the identified youth, or his/her parents, siblings and extended family members
  • Family treatment and therapy – single family, multiple families or parents
  • After care or support groups for teens and parents
  • Mentoring for youth new in recovery by peer mentors
  • Family education or substance abuse issues affecting the health and recovery of their teen
Other services available at SCY Center include Community Outreach, within the school and the community, DUI/Minor Consumption Classes, classes available for 8, 12 or 16 hour sessions, and Crisis Counselors available for emergencies 24 hours a day.

Winona County Minor Alcohol or Controlled Substance Offense Education Class

This is a two hour education class for juveniles that addresses the health related, legal, social and other risks and consequences of underage or illegal substance use or abuse.  Mandatory participation by one or both parents of each child is required in the second hour of the two hour class. 

The class is presented by a licensed chemical dependency counselor with experience providing substance abuse treatment services to adolescents.
