Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center offers numerous opportunities for individuals or groups to donate their time or talent. We understand everyone has different schedules and different strengths. There are many different opportunities to serve our organization.
Activities/Projects include but are not limited to:
- Landscaping
- pulling weeds
- trimming trees and bushes
- raking leaves
- planting flowers
- painting fences, decks, ramps
- Residential Cleaning
- Shampooing carpets
- Organizing spaces
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Cleaning kitchen appliances
- Other
- Removing heavy unused furniture
- Replacing shutters
- Replacing flooring
- Small maintenance projects
- Painting rooms
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 18 years old and in good physical health
- Ability and willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Good verbal communication skills
- Completed background check
