Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) covers a wide range of therapeutic services for youth with emotional disturbances.  The program is designed to be a short-term rehabilitative service for youth.  CTSS provides children with a School Linked/Based Therapist and can also provide a Skills Practitioner to support therapeutic services in the school or in the youth’s home.  Both services aim to resolve conflict within the school or home by combing parental involvement with individual needs.  CTSS can cover day treatment programs as well.

CTSS is available to youth 0 to 18 years old with a diagnosed mental health disorder that meets the criteria for emotional disturbance.  It is also available to individuals 18 to 21 years old who have a diagnosed mental illness.  Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center provides CTSS in Winona, Fillmore, Wabasha and Houston Counties.
