Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy approach used to treat people who are experiencing posttraumatic stress symptoms.  Trauma can sometimes lead people to experience debilitating symptoms, which disrupt their usual way of perceiving themselves and the world. The traumatic event(s) can create a blockage in the mind-body processing system, hindering the ability to effectively process and integrate information.  EMDR activates the processing system by using bilateral stimulation to assist people in clearing the blockage and returning to their natural state of mind-body integration.

EMDR is offered in Winona, Wabasha and Goodhue Counties.
