Family Group Decision Making Meetings focus on the importance of involving family in decision making regarding the child(ren) who needs protection or care. Meetings can be initiated by service providers and/or community organizations whenever a critical decision about a minor is required. Through the process, a trained coordinator who is independent of the case brings the family and the service providers together to create and carry out a plan to safeguard the child(ren) and other family members. Family Group Decision Making processes actively seek the collaboration and leadership of family in crafting and implementing plans that meet the child(ren)’s needs. We offer Family Group Decision Making Meetings in Winona County.
