Lai Loni Colby

Lai Loni started working at Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center in 2023 on the School Linked Mental Health team. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from Winona State University (WSU). Lai Loni has over 5 years of experience in supporting community mental health. In her role, Lai Loni works with clients to build coping skills that will in turn allow clients to be more independent. She is passionate about learning the different ways in which her clients are unique, coming up with activities that allow for creative expression through music and art, and ensuring that each session is person-centered. Outside of work, Lai Loni enjoys playing ukulele, spending time with her dogs Charlie and Tuukka, and playing video games.
