Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT)

Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center offers a Medication Assisted Treatment Program or MAT. MAT is a treatment program that combines medications, counseling and therapy to assist individuals in their recovery from substance use disorders. HVMHC’s MAT Program also offers medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder with the FDA-approved medication, Suboxone. Suboxone reduces overdoses and eliminates withdrawals and cravings, greatly improving safety and stability for patients undergoing this treatment option.
