Adult Therapy

Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center offers a wide range of mental health care for adults. In addition, we offer an array of specialized practices including;

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)  a form of psychotherapy treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a therapy approach used to treat people who are experiencing posttraumatic stress symptoms.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that can be used in treating a variety of mental illnesses.  The treatment focuses on high-risk, tough-to-treat clients.
