WINONA, Minn. – Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center (HVMHC) is excited to once again participate in the Big Muddy Brew-n-Que BBQ Competition on Saturday, August 15, partnering with The Old Tiger in the event’s Best in Taste Competition.
The community is invited to join the fun from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Merchants Bank east parking lot (corner of 3rd Street and Walnut Street), where seven local restaurants will team up with seven area nonprofits to compete for the coveted Best in Taste title.
By purchasing a tasting ticket, attendees will have the opportunity to sample barbecue from all seven restaurant teams and cast their vote for their favorite. Every ticket purchased helps support the participating nonprofit organizations, making this a fun way to give back while enjoying some of Winona’s best barbecue.
“We’re grateful to partner with The Old Tiger for this year’s Big Muddy Brew-n-Que,” said Ryan Buhler, Marketing & Communications Specialist at HVMHC. “Events like this showcase the incredible spirit of collaboration in our community. We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy some amazing barbecue, and support the local nonprofits that work every day to make Winona a stronger, healthier place to live.”
Tickets are available for $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event. Advance tickets can be purchased at Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center’s Winona clinic, located at:
Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center
420 East Sarnia Street
Winona, MN 55987
Whether you’re a barbecue enthusiast or simply looking for a great way to support local organizations, the Big Muddy Brew-n-Que offers an afternoon of delicious food, friendly competition, and community spirit.
