Winona, Minn. (February 22, 2024) – Monday, February 5, marked the final Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center board meeting for outgoing board member Betsy Rowekamp, who spent the past nine years volunteering on the HVMHC board.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to Betsy for her service to HVMHC over the past nine years. Board service can at times be a challenging volunteer role, but Betsy took on her board responsibilities with dedication, grace, and resolve” said HVMHC Executive Director, Erik Sievers.

“More than Betsy’s amazing ability to attend various community events that HVMHC has been a part of, I am most grateful for her active leadership as a steward of HVMHC,” Sievers continued.

“I know she always carefully deliberated on matters before the board or the personal committee, even when the decisions were difficult. The agency and community are eternally grateful for all she has done, and all she will continue to do for so many,” said Sievers.
